Police
The Northamptonshire Police headquarters is based at Wootton Hall, Northampton, with local stations in Brackley, Corby, Daventry, Kettering, Northampton, Rushden, Towcester and Wellingborough.
The role of the Police Force includes protecting and assisting the citizen, upholding the rule of law, preventing and detecting crime, controlling traffic, maintaining road safety and serving the community through an effective partnership with the public and other social agencies.

Courts
There are County Courts situated in Corby, Kettering, Northampton and Wellingborough with Magistrates courts held in Corby, Daventry, Kettering, Northampton, Towcester and Wellingborough.
Probation Service
The role of the Northamptonshire Probation Service is to supervise offenders in the community, in prison or young offender institution; prepare reports for the Courts and supervise children under Matrimonial Supervision Orders. There are local probation offices in Corby, Daventry, Kettering, Northampton and Wellingborough with the Family Court Welfare Service and Community Service also based in Northampton.

A service provided free of charge by the Law Society to assist in locating a legal representative. Provides information on law firms and individuals. The information is updated daily and all those listed hold a current Practising Certificate issued by the Law Society of England and Wales.
